So far so good. We wanted heavy duty load bars but an entry level indicator for our small cow-calf herd and sheep flock. We settled on Tru-Test HD5T load bars and an S3 indicator. In all honesty I was skeptic about the purchase given the great sales price from FarmRanchStore.com since I’d never ordered from them before. The scale parts came quickly and in great shape. Everything seems heavy duty and robust. I installed them on my Powder River chute pretty easily. I made my own brackets to mount it all up and anchored the load bars to the concrete barn floor. The indicator and bars are plug and play and set up was easy between the too. After verifying everything seemed reasonable based on weighing myself, I proceeded to weigh a newborn calf in the chute, as well as with my old hanging scale. They matched. I’ve since weighed a market steer and a ewe without any concerns. I look forward to continued use of the products and hope they hold up well.
