Shipping Information
We ship farm and ranch equipment across the United States from our Pflugerville, Texas warehouse and through our network of trusted manufacturer partners. Because we carry everything from $30 fence clips to $20,000 squeeze chutes, shipping looks a little different depending on what you're ordering. Here's how it works.
How We Ship
We use four shipping methods, and the right one depends on the item:
Fast Shipping (1-2 business days) Items marked with the Fast Shipping badge are stocked in our Pflugerville warehouse and typically leave within 1 business day of your order. These ship via UPS or USPS. Most of our smaller items qualify — fence hardware, tools, electric fence supplies, and similar.
Manufacturer Direct (varies) Some smaller items ship directly from the manufacturer rather than from our warehouse. These ship via UPS or USPS and typically arrive in 3 business days to 3 weeks, depending on the vendor's stock and processing time.
Freight (LTL) Shipping (1–3 weeks) Oversized or heavy items — squeeze chutes, calf tables, large feeders, and similar — ship by LTL (less-than-truckload) freight carrier. Freight orders typically arrive in 1–3 weeks from order date. Liftgate service is included on all LTL orders. The carrier will call you to schedule delivery.
Flatbed Shipping (1–3 weeks) Very long, very heavy, or palletized items — fencing rolls, panels, gates, full pallet feed orders, and round pen kits — ship by flatbed truck. Flatbed orders typically arrive in 1–3 weeks. You'll need site access for a flatbed truck and a way to unload (forklift, tractor with forks, or a crew). The carrier will call you to schedule delivery.
Shipping Costs
For UPS and USPS shipments, shipping is calculated at checkout based on item, weight, and destination.
For LTL and Flatbed shipments, shipping cost is not calculated at checkout — these items require a custom freight quote. You may see "Free Shipping" at checkout on freight items. This is a Shopify limitation, not free shipping.
Most freight items also have a vendor lead time that varies by manufacturer and current stock. Once your order is placed, our team will contact the vendor to confirm availability, then send you both the freight quote and the estimated lead time together by phone or email — typically within 1–2 business days.
You can approve the quote and lead time before any freight charges are applied, or cancel the order at no cost if the timing or cost doesn't work for you.

What to Expect with Freight and Flatbed Deliveries
Freight and flatbed deliveries are different from standard parcel shipping. A few things to know:
- Freight quote and lead time first: We'll contact you with the freight cost and the estimated vendor lead time before any charges are applied. You can approve, decline, or ask questions — no obligation until you approve.
- Delivery appointment: The carrier will call you to schedule a delivery window, usually a 2–4 hour block.
- Curbside delivery: Standard freight delivers to the end of your driveway or to a loading point you can access. The driver is not responsible for moving the item onto your property.
- Liftgate (LTL only): Liftgate service is included by default on all LTL orders — no need to request it.
- Flatbed unloading: Flatbed orders do not include unloading equipment. You'll need a forklift, a tractor with forks, or a crew on-site to unload.
- Inspect on arrival: Always inspect shipments for damage before signing the delivery receipt. Note any damage on the receipt — this is important for warranty and damage claims.
- Refusal: If a shipment arrives significantly damaged, you can refuse delivery. Contact us right away so we can arrange a replacement.
Order Tracking
You'll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information once your order ships. For freight and flatbed orders, the carrier will reach out directly to coordinate delivery.
If you haven't received tracking within the expected timeframe, contact us at sales@farmranchstore.com or 512-264-2024, and we'll chase it down.
Shipping Restrictions
We ship to all 50 U.S. states. A few notes:
- Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories: Available, but freight and parcel rates are significantly higher. Contact us for a custom quote before ordering.
- PO Boxes: We can't ship freight, flatbed, or oversized items to PO Boxes. Standard parcel items can ship to PO Boxes in most cases.
- International: We currently do not ship outside the United States.
Cancellations and Changes
If you need to change or cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible. We can usually accommodate changes on stocked items before they ship. Once a manufacturer-direct, freight, or flatbed order has been released to the manufacturer or carrier, changes and cancellations may not be possible or may incur a restocking fee.
For freight and flatbed orders: You can cancel at no cost any time before approving the freight quote and lead time. After approval, standard cancellation terms apply.
